A recipe tip from the Golden Mountain
The summer in the Alps is wonderful. But also sometimes demanding. And so it is important for us to regularly do something for our health - so that we can meet the demands of everyday life and enjoy the hot summer days to the full.
The region around Oberlech and Lech has always been known for the variety of wild herbs on the idyllic mountain meadows. We love to harvest these gifts of nature carefully and to process them gratefully - today to a spicy herbal smoothie!
One thing in advance:
Many think of the word smoothie as sweet, colorful drinks from the refrigerator in the supermarket. These concentrated liquids sometimes even with flavor enhancers have nothing to do with the smoothies we create. Herbs such as sorrel, ribwort, dandelion, etc. are just not sweet - we do not want to miss the intense, sometimes naturally bitter taste. This is how nature tastes - really genuine and unadulterated!
Summer herbal smoothie
Take for 4 glasses:
50 g wild herbs (eg plantain, dandelion, yaw)
½ bunch of parsley from the garden
2 apples from the tree
2 ripe pears from the tree,
cut them into small pieces and give them
300 ml of water
2 tablespoons of almonds and
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
into the blender. Mix to the desired consistency and serve garnished with edible flowers from the garden.
Cheers - the summer!
