Winter sport deluxe in Austria’s largest ski area

The Arlberg ski area is one of Europe’s largest and most beautiful winter sports areas. The Arlberg ski area has earned its worldwide reputation in every respect with its 88 lifts, 305 km of prepared pistes, and more than 200 km of untouched powder and spring snow slopes. And the most beautiful: Our hotel is right next to the piste: ski in, ski out!

Just Ski It!

Construction of the Auenfeldjets lift enabled a link between Lech Zürs and Warth, expanding the ski area by a further 14 lifts and 80 km of prepared pistes. Also, since December 2016, the Flexenbahn lift made Ski Arlberg into the largest interconnecting ski area in Austria.

Winter sports at their very best between 1200 m and 2800 m above sea level. The ski area naturally divides into areas to the west and the east of the Flexenpass. To the north west are the Vorarlberg resorts of Lech, Zürs and Stuben, whilst to the south you have the Tyrolean resorts of St. Anton and St. Christoph. The Hotel Goldener Berg stands above the Lech rooftops in Oberlech, a fairytale snowscape. Simply perfect for a skiing holiday right on the slopes!

Safe on the slopes

Tip: Take advantage of the early hour and ski before breakfast, even before the ski lifts are in operation on your skiing holiday on Arlberg in the Hotel Goldener Berg! The cable car to Oberlech runs already from 7.00 o'clock!

Good to know: Oberlech is also car-free in winter! Your ski hotel on Arlberg is surrounded by snow-covered nature. Winter wonderland pure!

Your safety is also important for us, which is why you will find here the safety concept for the winter season 2020/21 of Lech Zürs Tourism.

Skiing with your dog is of course no problem for us, we are real dog lovers!

Cross-country skiing

Enjoying the tranquillity of nature away from the pistes, clearing your head and breathing in the crystal-clear mountain air - cross-country skiing offers these wonderful opportunities and, in addition to the sporting aspect, this sport in nature also brings a lot of joy to the heart.

Away from the Ski Arlberg ski area, there is a varied network of cross-country ski trails with over 27 kilometres of groomed and free trails as a training area or extensive run-out trail - for classic style and skating alike. The flat terrain with gentle climbs, crisp mountain sprints and short descents is the perfect sport as an alternative to skiing for both experts and beginners.

Your skiing holiday right next to the piste in Lech am Arlberg

Ultimative skiing pleasures in Oberlech on Arlberg: no buses, no cars, no traffic, just snowy mountain peaks and slopes under a thick, soft covering of snow... The position of Oberlech at 1750 meters above sea level offers great snow conditions from November through to May in your skiing holidays.

Families with children as well as sporty skiers appreciate the convenience of a real ski hotel, not having to deal with every-day trips in crowded shuttle buses or the annoying search for parking spaces: The entrance of the Goldener Berg is also the entrance to the Arlberg ski area. Fun on the slopes starts here right outside the front door! A skiing holiday with your dog, directly on the slopes, is also possible at the Goldener Berg.

Take a look at the ski panorama and plan your first runs in the Arlberg powder snow. This is where skiing as a sport began and there is nowhere else where the ski schools have such a fantastic international reputation. The Arlberg ski schools are some of the best in the world. Perfect your skiing with professional instruction, or learn to make your initial turns in your first skiing lessons.
