The Arlberg region is not known as the birthplace of skiing for nothing. Lech am Arlberg was where the first ski schools in Europe were founded. Right in the centre of your skiing pleasure: your Hotel Goldener Berg, car-free, and right next to the ski piste.
The Skischule Lech am Arlberg has local and international ski instructors who know the region inside out and are our partners offering reliable, responsible, and professional ski training. The instructors of the Arlberg ski schools have been on skis practically all of their lives. The well-qualified, passionate guides help you refine your technique, perfect your style, and maximise your enjoyment of skiing. When making a room reservation, you can book private lessons and your ski instructor will meet you at the arranged time right at the Hotel Goldener Berg.

Ski school
Ski courses were taking place on the Arlberg slopes as early as 1906. Ludwig Schneider and Engelbert Jochum were the first hotel ski instructors and in 1925 established the Lech ski school. By the end of the 1960s, lifts had been built in the Arlberg ski area, and today Arlberg is home to the largest and most significant ski schools in Austria.
